A boy died and his brother and mother are in critical condition after a shooting in a suburban Denver parking lot.

The Westminster police released a statement indicating that a man not related to the other 3 victims also sustained a gunshot wound but expected to survive.

According to department spokeswoman Cheri Spottke, a man suspected in the attack is in custody. The motive is not yet clear. The authorities did not release the name of the suspect.
