CPR performed on a pedestrian after struck by a vehicle

A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle was given CPR by police officers. Sadly, the man passed away before he could be taken to a hospital.

The 45-year old pedestrian was slammed by a vehicle. He was crossing between 2 intersections when he was hit. Officers who arrived at the scene performed CPR but could not resuscitate him. Sadly, the man was declared dead before he could be taken to a hospital.

Road incident

The 38-year old driver was not able to see the pedestrian who was crossing the road due to the poor lighting in the area. Based on the findings of the investigation, alcohol is not a factor.
