Man severely injured after truck veers in road

The bystanders pull an unresponsive senior out of his truck and attempted to save his life after the vehicle struck a light pole.

Upon the arrival of the paramedics at John Laurie Blvd near Brisebois Drive, they found a man believed to be in his 70s in a critical condition.

Vehicular accident

The man was driving a pickup truck and moving in the eastbound lanes of John Laurie when the vehicle veered across to the median into the westbound lanes. It was then that he hit a pole along the westbound shoulder.

The bystanders who arrived at the scene found the driver unconscious and unresponsive behind the wheel and delivered CPR. The police are currently investigating the incident and the roads in the area were closed.
