Man found in cardiac arrest in Byward Market parking garage given CPR

A 23-year old man was given CPR after experiencing cardiac arrest. The incident occurred in Byward Market parking garage. The man was quickly transported to a healthcare facility.

The police found the man at the bottom of the stairs of the garage at Byward Market Square and Clarence Street shortly before midnight.

The officers started to perform CPR on the man. The paramedics arrived soon after and provided aggressive advanced life support treatment and rushed to the Ottawa Hospital’s trauma unit.
