Shooting incident left a man dead

A man died after a shooting in Cloverdale in the 18200-block of 67A Avenue. It was around 4 PM when the Surrey RCMP received several calls about shots being fired in the Clayton area. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers found a man who sustained gunshot wounds. He was transported to a healthcare facility where he was declared dead.

Surrey incident

The RCMP’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is now gathering evidence and working with its partners from the Surrey RCMP, Integrated Forensic Identification Services and the B.C. Coroners Service.

According to Corporal Frank Jang of IHIT, the investigation of the case is in its primary phase and encourages those with any information about this homicide to come forward.
