Man who drowns in Yamaska Park given first aid

A 35-year old Laval man drowned in the Eastern Townships in the man-made Choiniere Reservoir in the Yamaska provincial park.

Based on the report, it was around 6 PM when the emergency services were called to the Roxton Pond park regarding a man missing in the water. According to the initial details given by the Surete du Quebec, the man was swimming along with 2 other people when he disappeared under the water.

After some time, the man was dragged out of the water, unconscious. After attempts to resuscitate him, he was transported to a healthcare facility where he was pronounced dead. The police stated that alcohol might be a factor.
