A 22-year old man who drowned while swimming was given CPR. The incident occurred in the Township of Whitewater Region, in the Ottawa River in Foresters Falls.
Drowning incident
The man who was a guest of OWL Rafting was swimming when he went underwater. He was found and pulled back to the shore where CPR was initiated. The paramedics arrived and transported him to a healthcare facility. Sadly, the man was declared dead a short time after.
The man was identified as Charles “Chuck” Ozulumba. The coroner’s office is investigating with assistance from Renfrew OPP.
