More than 60% of Albertan support a ‘circuit breaker’ lockdown and more than 80% support a provincial mask mandate to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the province set to release new measures, a poll from Calgary-based pollster Think HQ shows that there is a great deal of support for stronger measures to prevent the spread of the virus and crack down on those breaking the public health orders.
In a news release by Think HQ president, “ten days ago, the provincial government introduced new measures to blunt the spread of the virus, but they seem ineffective, both from a public health and political perspective.
Alberta has been hit with record case counts over the last several days, with a new high mark of 1,584 announced on Sunday.
