Man with suspicious injuries receives CPR

The death of a man who was found injured on a bustling west Edmonton street was deemed suspicious.

Unexpected ordeal

Two Edmonton police officers discovered the man, believed to be in his 30s just before 11 PM on Stony Plain Road near 152 Street.

During the interaction with the man, he lost consciousness. EMS was activated and CPR was performed. The man was transported to a healthcare facility where he succumbed to his injuries.

The officers sealed off several blocks of Stony Plain Road and homicide detectives were called to the scene. An autopsy was performed but police are withholding the cause and manner of death.
