Unforeseen tragedy

Hayward hit his head on the sandy bottom of the lake after diving into the water. His neck was jammed and it resulted in the cracking of his C5 vertebra. It shattered into 6 pieces and then the C4 and C6 also cracked.

The man was found by two of his friends floating in the water and was able to revive him. One of his friends started CPR which allowed Hayward to release the water in his lungs and restored his breathing.

Hayward was rushed to a healthcare facility where he stayed in ICU until he was later transferred to a hospital in Toronto.
