A woman who saves a victim of shock calls for safety

A woman who performed CPR on a man who suffered an electric shock shared that people must be careful around electricity. The incident occurred while the man was sandbagging a home.

Richard Lafontaine was helping his neighbor in the Touraines neighborhood when he fell into electrified water. Melissa Hoszko was volunteering nearby with her boyfriend and father when they noticed Lafontaine had collapsed.

It was discovered that the man had tripped over an electric-powered pump that was underwater. The man’s face was completely blue and did not have a pulse.

Hoszko decided to act. After her boyfriend and father moved Lafontaine to a dry patch, Hoszko and another person started CPR. The main is still in a hospital but his condition is improving, although it will take months for him to recover.
