CPR performed on toddler after the water incident

A 3-year old boy was given CPR after a near-drowning incident. The child is in a healthcare facility with life-threatening injuries after a near-drowning incident in Lucan-Biddulph.

Watery ordeal

The Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Lucan-Biddulph Fire Department responded to the incident.

The child was found in the family’s above-ground pool and was given emergency CPR by the family members and paramedics. According to OPP Const. Max Gomez, the boy was successfully resuscitated and transported to a healthcare facility.

The OPP reminds families to carefully monitor children closely when around water. Any depth of water is considered dangerous to a child.
