9-year old given CPR after an incident at the water park

A 9-year child received CPR after an incident at a water park. The lifeguards at the Kinsmen Water Park in Prince Albert were credited for saving the life of a child who was drowning in the main pool.

Watery ordeal

The staff discovered the child unconscious at around 3:30 PM and performed CPR. Upon the arrival of the paramedics from Parkland Ambulance, the child was already alert.

The 9-year old was transported to the Victoria Hospital for treatment with an adult family member.

Children below the age of 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult who is within reach in the water. As for children under 10, they must be accompanied by an adult at the park.
