Emergency first aid given on man shot in Surrey

The incident occurred in the 18200-block of 67A Avenue. A man is dead after a shooting incident in Cloverdale in the 18200-block of 67A Avenue.

Around 4 PM, the Surrey RCMP received several calls regarding shots being fired in the Clayton area. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers found a man who sustained gunshot wounds. The man was given emergency first aid care to help control the bleeding. He was transported to a healthcare facility but later declared dead.

Shooting incident

To gather evidence of the shooting incident, the RCMP’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is working hand in hand with its partners from Surrey RCMP, the Integrated Forensic Identification Services and the B.C. Coroners Service.

According to Corporal Frank Jang of IHIT, the investigation is in its primary phases and everyone with information about the incident is urged to come forward.
