The length of this first aid and CPR course is 8 to 10 hours. 100% attendance is required to successfully complete the course.

Candidates in this course will learn about the following first aid and CPR emergencies:

• 

  CPR for adult and child victims.

• Conscious and unconscious obstructed adult and child victims (choking).
• Respiratory emergencies including asthma, hyperventilation, aspiration and anaphylaxis.
• Circulatory emergencies (includes heart attacks, angina, transient ischemic attacks and strokes).
• Deadly bleeding.
• Head and neck injuries.
• Broken bones and fractures.
• Automated external defibrillator (AED) training
• Burns
• Seizures

Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a provincially and nationally approved Emergency First Aid, CPR, and AED certificate that remains valid for 3 years. This nationally accredited certification is recognized across Canada and meets various workplace requirements for first aid training. Please note that recertification courses are not available for this program.

Candidates can select either CPR Level “A” or CPR Level “C” for their Emergency First Aid certification. CPR Level “C” is available for an additional $5 fee. BLS is also available to be partnered with the course.

We understand that learning takes time. At Regina First Aid, we follow a “no pressure” policy — if you don’t successfully complete the course on your first attempt, you can retake the course at no extra cost.
