Candidates enrolled in this course will learn to treat and recognize the following emergencies:
Nonbreathing unconscious victims
- Obstructed airways of conscious and unconscious victims (Chocking)
- Sudden Medical Emergencies.
- Respiratory Emergencies.
- Shaking baby syndrome.
- Childbirth.
- Environmental emergencies.
- Poisoning.
- Sprains and strains.
- Internal Injuries
- Head injuries.
- External bleeding.
- Broken bones and fractures.
- Seizures.
- Diabetic emergencies.
Candidates that successfully complete the skills component and multiple choice exam will immediately receive a workplace-approved emergency first aid and CPR level “B” certificate. The certificate is valid for 3 years. Re-certification courses are not available for this course, candidates must re-take the course to renew their certification.
